Myranda Gene Sandberg is the sole owner of a criminal defense practice built on one simple idea: if the State makes an accusation, it has to prove it—completely, lawfully, and beyond a reasonable doubt.
She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse (2017), a Master's in Forensic Psychology, summa cum laude, from Walden University (2020), and her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Mitchell Hamline School of Law (2022). Her background in psychology shapes every case she takes. Clients don't just get legal representation—they get an advocate who helps them understand the system, the strategy, and the stakes.
Myranda approaches criminal defense like a puzzle: facts, behavior, pressure, and proof all matter. She studies the details others overlook and holds the prosecution to the highest burden the law demands. If the system claims to work, she will make it show its work.
A lifelong true-crime enthusiast who follows national trials, cult documentaries, and criminal justice debates, Myranda brings both intellectual curiosity and relentless energy to her practice. Outside of court, she lives with her husband—also a lawyer, which makes for lively dinner conversations—and their two cats, Bonito and Serius Grey.

Mackenzie McCuskey has been Attorney Sandberg's right hand since day one—and the firm would not function without her. She manages client communication, scheduling, and case organization with the kind of precision that makes a solo practice actually run like a firm. Mackenzie holds a Bachelor's Degree in Legal Studies and Political Science from Winona State University, and her background shows: she is detail-obsessed, deadline-driven, and genuinely invested in every client she speaks with.
Originally from the Lake Elmo, Minnesota area, Mackenzie brings a Midwestern warmth to every interaction that clients notice immediately. She is the calm, grounded voice on the other end of the phone when things feel overwhelming—and in criminal defense, that is no small thing. Outside the office, you will find her committed to her Pilates practice, spending time with her sisters, or behind the bar at her aunt's restaurant, Bar & Cart (Grand Ave., St. Paul) where she has apparently mastered the rare skill of being both a legal professional, a genuinely excellent bartender., and a kitchen manager.
